$3 More Dollars Well Spent

 Recently I ventured into a Trader Joes for the first time ever. The closest one to my hometown was 45 minutes away, so when I recently visited, I decided to make the trek. I had always heard rave reviews about their wine, and how affordable it is. As mentioned in my last post, I typically prefer my $3 bottle of Bay Bridge wine. I decided to splurge on this $6 bottle of wine for Valentines Day.  This Sauvignon Blanc is a 2021 from California. When I read the description, it said it was slightly drier, with lots of fruity notes. For Valentines Day dinner, we paired it with a spicy pasta dish. When tasting the wine before having dinner, it gave off many citrus-like notes. There was some orange too it, as well as an almost grapefruit taste. It was slightly sweeter, but still had a dry finish to it. Once we ate it with dinner, the sweetness seemed to disappear with the spice of the pasta overtaking it. The dry notes were still prevalent, but it seemed like a crisp sip compared to the bite
