Wine Tasting- Winkling Owl White Zinfandel

Winkling Owl, White Zinfandel, California, 2015, California, $2.95 Subtle flavors of cranberry and watermelon flavors with subtle notes of fresh strawberry and cherry. Very pale pink in color. Nose is almost identical to a watermelon Jolly Rancher hard candy. Flavors of cherry and watermelon, with a faint hint of acidity and pink grapefruit. Finish is slightly tart and pretty short. Definitely not a bad white zin for $3 a bottle. From the smell, it has a sweet yet peppery scent to it, almost herbaceous. It tasted very apple based, with a slight peach taste to it. There is a very charred and like bitter after taste to it. I think if I had tried it by itself, it would have been good but it did not pair well with the previous wine.
